CHILD PROTECTION

Volunteer Requirements

In order to volunteer at Blessed Sacrament or Queen of Peace schools or with the Parish School of Religion program in any capacity, you must be in full compliance with the Belleville Diocese Child Protection Policy. This requires the following steps:

  • Completing a Volunteer Application
  • Filling out a CANTS Form (authorization for a background check)
  • Attending an Initial Child Protection Class (see information below)
  • State Background Check (for those in leadership positions/rolls)
  • Completing a refresher course annually (after Initial Child Protection Class completed)
To access refresher course, go to: https://safeandsacred-diobelle.org

Parents and grandparents who wish to volunteer on field trips, in the lunchrooms or in any other way should make arrangements well in advance to begin this process. For more information, contact the school or church office.
